Days n Dogs n Diets

Well it seems like the days are running at hyper speed. I don't know why all of a sudden there is so little time. For example today. This was one of those days, where I just couldn't start the motor.

My body ached from moving the furniture around and no-one was going to get me to move from the bed with my laptop. (At least the fingers still work on these days.).
Well you know how it is, there are some things that must be done and everyone relies on me to do them. But apart from basics no real work was achieved.

It was a good day for DVD's. I watched almost a whole series of McClouds Daughters. When I say watched I really mean they played in the background as I typed and rested.
Elle (dog) hates these days of little activity. She brought me her ball several times, carried on too at lunchtime when I didn't bother with food. She has this funny idea that I am meant to stick to a routine!

I get a bit cranky if she tries to stand over me though, she tends to put her paws on the bed and look down at me as if telling me off for still being there, guess she knows I should move around more. Even has the audacity to bark at me when I ignore her!
Eventually she gave up and curled up at the side of the bed and slept.

She got out this morning as the girls were leaving for school. It took half an hour before I could coax her back. I don't think the neighbours here would mind but if she wandered too far I might get some complaints, dobermanns scare some people.

She is only two and not mature yet. When she came back she carried on like a nut running around the furniture at full speed circling me with a huge smile (well that's what it looks like) and tail wagging,(yes it is against the law to dock them here). I think she was trying to tell me what she had been doing - I laughed, I guess I shouldn't encourage her but she loves to get a bit of adventure out on her own.

Sometimes I will let her out pre-dawn when cars aren't a problem and it's chilly enough for her not to want to be outside too long. She is a softie as far as the cold is concerned!
Mostly she just chases the rabbits on my block next door, never catches them though, they're too fast for her! I just leave the door open and wait for her to return.

Just took some more painkillers not that they really do much more than keep everything from ceasing up. Got to expect the body to have a few pains at almost 50. I can still stand on my head, no, not something I will do regularly, once a year or so to prove to myself I still can will suffice!

Jess, (daughter 14), is hungry AGAIN! Went through a long period of her not wanting to eat, then due to some illness and medication she has developed an insatiable hunger, don't know that the budget can keep up with her. What is it about girls that age and food? Oh and she thinks chocolate is an essential part of her daily diet too.

Cloe (daughter 11), until recently had been putting excess weight on but since recent growth spurt she has trimmed somewhat and her appetite has settled back to normal. If it's not one it's the other, I can't win.
