Oils are my favourite medium as far a working with them but the mess I make does encourage me toward watercolours however I am waiting on another watercolour pad to be delivered damn slow post!
I wonder if everyone else has to contend with the mess or are they so controlled they don't get paint everywhere? My floor is atrocious, today I upended a palette on it too - that one I did clean straight away but often I am so involved with the painting I can't stop to clean stuff.
Had to take break as family think they should be feed - I have tried to tell them I am not a short order cook but they just won't have it!
If it wasn't for their demands I probably would forget to eat anyway. I don't rate food as much importance when I am painting I tend to get totally lost in the project and can go for many hours straight without a break, (well maybe a smoko). Yes I am still one of those brow beaten creatures who dare to light up!
The eyes were giving me a problem on this latest work but they are looking good now. Eyes and mouths are always a drama and rarely just happen - wish they did!
Speaking of eyes mine were giving me more trouble too. I am virtually blind in one eye due to cataract but the other was strong. This week however that one has been causing me problems. Have a feeling I might be getting a cataract on that one too. Hope not the waiting list for removal is something like 4 years!
I would still paint even with two cataracts - but style would be altered to suit fuzzy vision! Can be done though that's the main thing!
